This Outer Banks styled shoot is one that I have been dying to share since September! It was a vision that was inspired by a simple visit to a farmer’s Market that turned into jaw-droppingly gorgeous wedding design. The vendors that I worked with completely knocked it out of the park. From the florals and decor to our bride’s make-up, it is all stunning. These boss-ladies worked so hard to make this shoot come to reality and it honestly felt like a dream. It has totally paid off with our Outer Banks Wedding Magazine cover and feature!
My favorite part about this styled wedding shoot had to be collaborating with all the talented Outer Banks vendors. Colington Harbour Clubhouse and park was a spectacular setting. The private Colington Island community park is know for it’s moss-covered oak trees and has the most phenomenal evening light reflecting off of the Albemarle Sound. It was a pleasure working with Hannah of Seafoam Design who took elements from our original floral sketch and incorporated it into the 3-piece invitation suite. I am still in awe of those hand-painted gold envelopes. Page from Flower Girls brought so many vibrant florals and fresh fruits on the tabletops and the ceremony tree. And we cant forget the perfectly whimsical flower crown for our bride! It’s absolutely amazing to see a florist work, because they have such wonderful vision and it’s almost magic to see them piece it together. Jessie from Amaranth and Artifact contributed with the one-of-a-kind decor and custom dining table. The Lounge area she designed for this shoot was so perfect and the table decor was such an elegant addition to the shoot. Jessie has a genuine talent of combining new and vintage pieces together in the most uniquely beautiful ways.
The loveliest part of the day was getting to work with real life couple, Schuylar & Jon. The newlyweds made such great models, and we cannot thank them enough for all of their awesomeness! It was so much fun watching Schuylar in her dress again, reliving their wedding day almost a year later. Her hair and makeup looked incredible thanks to Meg from First Look Salon.
We owe a lot of thanks to everyone that participated in this shoot with us. Everyone’s talents and extraordinary artistry really made this one of the best shoots possible.
